Dev Anand was born on September 26, 1923, in Gurdaspur, Punjab.

1943: Moved to Mumbai with just ₹30 in his pocket, driven by an unwavering dream of becoming an actor.

To make ends meet, he worked as a clerk in an accountancy firm but spent his free time networking and visiting studios.

Dev Anand debuted with Hum Ek Hain, marking the beginning of a glorious career.

In 1948,
Gained recognition with "Ziddi," a box office success that established him as a promising actor. His collaboration with Ashok Kumar played a pivotal role in his career.

In 1949,
Co-founded Navketan Films with his brother Chetan Anand, laying the foundation for decades of iconic and innovative cinema.

In 1961,
(Hum Dono) is a Hindi romantic drama produced by Dev Anand and directed by Vijay Anand, featuring Dev Anand in a double role. Known for its music by Jaidev and lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi, it was a box-office hit.
