STORY CORNER
FIGURES OF ART
Statue Dev Anand by Padamshri Arjun Prajapati
An Unforgettable Memory – Dev Anand Ji, Arjun Prajapati Ji, and Our Tribute There are some memories that deepen with time. One such memory is associated with The Evergreen Dev Anand Society, when I and our dear Ravi Kamra Sahab attended a program at ITC Rajputana Hotel, where we got the opportunity to meet the renowned sculptor Arjun Prajapati Ji. During the conversation, when Dev Anand Sahab's name came up, Arjun Ji's eyes lit up. He emotionally said, "I am also a huge fan of Dev Anand Sahab!" That's where a new story began. We requested him to create a statue of Dev Anand Sahab, which would be a symbol of his immortal memory. He immediately agreed and resolved to bring this idea to life with his art. Some time later, when The Evergreen Dev Anand Society invited Zeenat Aman Ji to a special program, Arjun Prajapati Ji brought Dev Anand Sahab's clay statue to life with his skilled hands on the same stage. It was a moment when devotion, art, and memories converged. This statue was not just made of clay, but it embodied Dev Anand Sahab's energy and our emotions. Today, Arjun Prajapati Ji is no longer with us, but the statue he created fills his absence in every program. Without this statue, none of our programs feel complete. It is not only a symbol of our devotion to Dev Anand Sahab but also a testament to our gratitude towards Arjun Ji. In the form of this statue, we have not only acquired a figurine but also an emotional connection that will always remind us of Dev Anand Sahab, Arjun Ji, and our society's memories.

Dev Saab writes on page 38 in his autobiography“Romancing with Life”
“Victoria Terminus”shouted the conductor, I got off the bus and started walking on the road, but suddenly I felt a pang of hunger. I fiddled with my pockets. May be there was a spare coin hiding somewhere. But all pockets were empty.Hunger was gnawing inside me and now thirst also started to overpower me" Dev Anand had to sell his only Treasure, the Stamp Album that he had just to quench his thirst for only THIRTY rupees. COVERS LAUNCH
special crafts
To commemorate the timeless legacy of Dev Anand on his birth anniversary, I designed a special Nehru jacket as a heartfelt tribute, showcased at the Jaipur Dev Festival. The fabric of the jacket is an original print, meticulously crafted using media clippings, headlines, and photographs from various archives that celebrated Dev Anand's cinematic journey. Each element in the collage captures the magic of the 1950s to 1970s — the golden era of Indian cinema. Rendered entirely in black and white, the design evokes a vintage charm that connects the audience to the nostalgia of that time. The jacket features a distinctive patch pocket with a bold black-and-white photo of Dev Anand Sir, making it not just a fashion statement, but a wearable memory of an icon. This piece is a fusion of storytelling and design — a tribute stitched with admiration and timeless style.
